Philadelphia

After a full exploration of the Magic Gardens, we headed into the city as Philly first timers!! We started off with a much needed coffee shop stop to warm ourselves up. Once we were warm, we began to travel through the streets. The city reminded us a lot of New York, however, it was a much less crowded and more historic version. Many on the streets were extremely narrow, alongside tiny old fashioned homes. We stopped in cute little shops until we began to stir up an appetite. So we began our hunt for a delicious Philly cheesesteak!! I mean what else do you eat when in Philly? Surprising finding a Philly cheesesteak in Philadelphia is not as easy as it sounds, after over a half an hour of searching we finally found the perfect one. With full bellies, we embarked on the half mile walk over to the Love Park. A quaint park, with a notable statue of the word LOVE. The park has curved steps which lured skateboarders from all over. The statue was similar to the LOVE statue on Avenue of the Americans in New York City. The park overlooked the historic city hall, a beautiful building. Exhausted and freezing, we decided to head home! We had an amazing day exploring Philadelphia and could not think of a better way to start the new year.
