Lake Eola

Instead of going home right after Cocoa Beach, we spontaneously decided to spend another night in Downtown Orlando. Where we were staying, was conveniently placed right on Lake Eola. A mile loop lake, decorated with palm trees, fountains and statues and populated by a variety of swans, ducks and turtles. We spent the morning walking the lake and soaking in all it had to offer. Our first stop was the boats, huge boats shaped like swans that served as the perfect transportation to explore the lake. Lucky for us, every Sunday morning they host a farmers market full of amazing food and hand crafted treasures. We sampled, shopped and sipped smoothies. After walking around, we decided to sit, relax and feed the ducks. As soon as we sat down they swans swam over to us and happily ate the food. They even ate some pieces right out of our hands. It was the perfect end to an amazing weekend. Now back to Tampa and reality!!!
