Bike ride down Bayshore

With clear skies and sunny 95 degree weather, what better way to spend the end of the weekend then a mind clearing bike ride down Bayshore Boulevard! We rented City bikes from Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Downtown Tampa, just over the river from the University of Tampa. With low rates of just 5$ an hour, they served as the perfect vehicle for today’s adventure! We cut through back streets to get to Bayshore as quickly as possible. Bayshore is a 10 mile long pathway on the coast of the Hillsborough River, decorated with palm trees and beautiful waterfront homes, It was the perfect little get away to spend some time with each other, which has been hard to do since we have been adjusting to the college life! We biked 8 miles, sweated a little (okay maybe a lot), and had the best time together!

Somewhere around 4 miles into our bike ride, we were dying for water and deterred from the path in search of some! Luckily, we discovered the cutest little juice bar ever! It was called Swami Juice, we got strawberry banana smoothies made with almond milk and honey. Although it was a little pricey, they were to die for and kept us hydrated and energized for the rest of our bike ride! The store was super cute with homemade juices, honey from a local farm and organic beauty products. They even had acai bowls, it’s the perfect place for all your sweet cravings!
